Getting Married During The Coronavirus Pandemic
An interview with Anna Zonina-Knoll, Digital Marketing & Event Manager at HANRO

Anna Zonina-Knoll, Digital Marketing & Event Manager at HANRO, got married last year in a civil ceremony. She is planning on having a bigger wedding ceremony this October. In the interview, she talks about her proposal and shares her wedding planning experiences

How did he propose?
The proposal was relatively unexpected for me, even though we had already talked about getting married at some point. Last Spring, my boyfriend asked me if I wanted to go for an evening walk. We ended up strolling along a river during the sunset. We sat down on a bench and suddenly I felt the tension in my boyfriend. When I turned to him, he was already holding the box with the ring in his hand and asked me if I wanted to marry him.

What was the biggest challenge for you when preparing for your wedding?
I really enjoy organizing events and planning my own wedding was no different. I think many women fantasize about how they picture their wedding day at some point. After the proposal I started planning immediately and the concept was ready within two weeks. Unfortunately, the Coronavirus pandemic interfered and made the organization of the wedding quite difficult. We had to reschedule several times. The big wedding celebration would have been this April, but now we have postponed it to October – hope that it can take place this time.

What moment are you most looking forward to at the wedding reception?
I'm most looking forward to the moment when we read each other our personal wedding vows and exchange the rings. We both chose three characteristics we loved about the other and had them engraved on our rings. However, this is currently still a secret and we will only be able to read what our partner has written about us when we exchange rings.

What’s your favorite HANRO product that every woman should wear on their most beautiful day in her life?
At HANRO there is a feminine, lacy collection made of flowing viscose every season. This spring, we have 'Irini' collection and there is a beautiful gown in the color Fullmoon that is definitely a must-have for me at my wedding. My bridesmaids and I will wear the gown before the ceremony while doing makeup and styling.
